If I had to describe the 1st year of BAM! in 1 word, can you guess what it’d be?
Correct!
I would also use words like BUSY, and STRESSFUL, and BUSY and TOTALLY WORTHWHILE and also probably….. BUSY!!
I’m so grateful for the support that schools, kids, parents and also my family have shown in year 1, so thankyou to everyone.
I’ve been hugely slack in maintaining a regular blog and developing the website but its only because I’ve been concentrating on the main element of the job, the musical development of young people. I’ll hopefully get on with the students area of the website over the summer.
This year we’ve had multiple grade 8’s in both electric guitar and bass along with a good number of lower grades, maintaining a 10 year 100% pass rate! We’ve had performances live on Radio, an EP written, funded, recorded and released and a whole afternoon of music in Rugby town centre! Lots going on in and around a busy teaching week. Did I mention that word BUSY yet?
Lots to learn from a business management point of view from this 1st year and lots to improve upon.
I am massively looking forward to some time off, but remember, if anyone wants any private lessons over the summer, just send us a message!
Now, where is that sofa…..
